IntegratED With Jamie Palmer - A podcast for online entrepreneurs

Feb 28, 2019

Hiring your first employee can be super exciting but it is definitely a process. Having gone through rapid growth in 2018 with my own company (expanding from only contractors to 5 team members), there is a huge process for hiring an employee.

To start, I suggest doing a two-week time study. It may seem counterintuitive, but it’s important to figure out what daily tasks you can delegate to someone else once you bring them onboard. In order to figure out exactly what their job will be, you need to track where you can hand off work to them. You have to craft out the role, responsibilities on a daily basis, and the expected results to complete this job successfully.

For my company, we usually post on all job sites like Indeed, as well as on our website and all over our social media to draw in prospects. We also use the Tony Robbins Disc assessment to figure out if their personality is a good match. After, we hold 2-3 rounds of interviews to narrow it down to the best candidates.

If you’re planning on growing your business soon, this is the episode that can help you learn!
