One question that I constantly get is how to build a relationship in the online world. How do you make a connection with someone online that you would normally make in person? When I first started my business, I would network in person and then immediately add them on Facebook (or to my email list, before Facebook existed) to stay connected. Over time, I still get messages from those people asking for support or advice. Most people tend to overthink how simple it is to make connections with people online.
A big mistake that people make is hiding behind their social media presence and hoping that that will be enough. Just because you are online, doesn’t mean that you don’t have to do any outreach! I’m not a fan of just sitting and waiting for others to contact me, and making sales or finding potential clients is all about being bold enough to reach out!
