IntegratED With Jamie Palmer - A podcast for online entrepreneurs

Jan 25, 2019

As far as my predictions for 2019, there are so many areas of the social media marketing world that have to be discussed. With so many different platforms out there, it’s becoming increasingly hard to focus on all of them and make sure you’re doing the right thing, on the right platform, at the right time. As someone who’s been an entrepreneur and business owner for 15 years, I have some solid guesses about the direction in which some of these platforms are going and how you can maximize your year through these means.

On this episode, I break down the recent trends of social media that I think will either continue to grow in 2019 or will fall off the map. For example, it’s clear that Instagram stories are becoming an increasingly popular way of reaching potential clients, while using your personal Facebook to conduct business will get your account shut down (oh yeah, this has happened). Along with these general usage trends, I believe that we’re going to continue to see the demise of the “perfect life” image that so many accounts portrayed and instead see consumers rushing to follow the people who show that their life is just as imperfectly relatable as everyone else.

For your own content this year, we’ve seen the rise of two groups: the celebrity “influencer” who wants everyone to know their name and the businesses that want to make an impact. This year is the time to decide which you want to be and how you want to affect those who view or use your content and services.
