I often get asked, 'How do you balance it all?'. That question always makes me smile. The truth of the matter is that I haven't always balanced it all. I actively work towards creating a better balance in my life when it comes to the kids and the company. Every day certainly isn't perfect, some days I work way more than I intended too and other days I spend way more time with the kids, but I actively practice juggling it all. But I want to let you in on a little secret; I don't do it alone.
As I've grown in my business, I've learned a ton about myself and my priorities both personally and professionally. I've learned that the saying, "It'll only take me five minutes." is something that I should probably delegate or create a system around. I've learned the hard way, that saying yes too often will lead me to make commitments in life that I am not happy with. I've learned to rely on a team, my family and surround myself with people who want the same for themselves.
Getting it all done takes determination, focus, and discipline. The habits, self-care and time management that my old self often fought are now the foundation of day to day and give me the freedom to leave work at 3 pm to be present with my kids or to take a day off and be with them. The structure that I fought is ultimately what has set me free.
