IntegratED With Jamie Palmer - A podcast for online entrepreneurs

Aug 12, 2019

There are a lot of misconceptions out there in the online space today when it comes to funnels and ads. I wanted to talk to you about what to expect for an ROI when you’re running Facebook ads, and what Facebook ads are and aren’t. There’s been a big discussion in my Business Ecosystem Builder’s group where we talk about the cost to acquire a lead, the cost to acquire a customer, and the average customer value.

Not all lead sources are created equal, not all clients are equal, and not all customer values are created equal either. I share this with you guys because I think that it’s important to understand these numbers and think about where your best clients or leads come from. It’s all about figuring out the best place for you to spend your time and money wisely. If you’re not looking at this information, chances are you’re not making smart marketing decisions that are data-driven for your business. So often I have clients come to me and ask me to run ads to an offer that they have. Most of them haven’t done research, haven’t sold it organically first, and don’t have any sort of audience. There are so many problems with this!

Right off the bat, you have NO data to base your marketing decisions on. If you haven’t been able to sell organically, you won’t know where your leads are going to come from or what the best practice will be for your company. You don’t know if this is right for your audience, because you have no audience! It’s going to be tough to even know if it’s what your ideal client wants if you have no data around it organically first. If you want to know all the pitfalls within your ad marketing campaign, keep listening!
